Complex Systems
Early this morning, I had a conversation with a friend of mine living the US and we were talking about technologies. She thinks that computers, Internet and all related products are just complicated and it seems difficult to get use to them by ease. Something that I totally deny and can't accept. Seeming difficult just reflects the person's fear and abstinence to discover new fields. She wasn't convinced until I gave her real examples from our daily life.
The first obvious thing that came to my mind was the current fact, we were talking through Skype using Internet, it was very simple and useful. However, this covered simplicity hides very complicated concepts and technologies. The fact itself demonstrates how simple things are just when we want to reach them and how complex they seem to be when we just ignore their utility. Complexity is just a mind state and and the behaving reflects a person' s interest.
At the end, we both agreed that we can reach and understand the most complex thing ever if we just want to.
